Fall is finally here, and it’s time to bust out the uniform. This year fall fashion is all about oversized sweaters, cozy socks, chic blazers, and relaxed trousers and the new Rowing Blazers x Target collection makes it super easy to style complete *lewks* on a budget.
The best thing about the collection is that you can pull individual pieces and style them to fit into your aesthetic or pick up an entire outfit from the collection and be ready serve. The launch includes sweaters, blouses, pants, blazers, hats, and even homewares and accessories (like the cutest duffel bag you’ve ever seen).
“Working with Target on this partnership is a dream come true,” Jack Carlson, founder of Rowing Blazers, said in a Target press release. “My vision for the Rowing Blazers brand is based on the idea of taking the classics and making them fun, interesting and approachable. This collaboration allows us to be more accessible than ever – with first-time products for Rowing Blazers like children’s clothing and home decor.”
The line starts at just $5 for a super-cute sticker set, and most pieces are under $30. If you need some styling inspo, myself and fashion editor Olivia Marcus pulled together our favorite looks that you can actually add to cart when the line launches on Sept. 23, 2023. Make sure to build your cart now, though, because these Target collabs are known to sell out in a flash.

Prep Meets Grunge

Prep meets grunge is one of my favorite combinations, so although Rowing Blazers didn’t necessarily advertise its line as a grunge collection, I made it happen with my own spin on it. Plus, the brand is already well known for having an “edgier” take on preppy classics.
I was drawn to this men’s polo top that has the cutest skull and crossbones on the chest. Paired with the mixed fabric pleated skirt, the prep/grunge vibes are just too cute. I styled these with thick white socks (my favorite is this pair
from Hue) and Doc Martens, which have honestly been a staple in my closet for over 10 years now.I picked up the men’s polo shirt in a small and the skirt in a size 8. The skirt is available in sizes 00 through 30, which makes it one of the brand’s most inclusive (and cutest!) pieces.

Another stand-out to me was the Rowing Blazers unisex pullover. The brand styled this crewneck with their collared button-downs underneath, but I was more inspired to make jewelry the main focus. I stacked on layered necklaces from Moonstock Jewelry, and tried it out with two different bottoms.
The first look is Princess Diana-esque with bike shorts, slouchy socks, and my current obsession: the New Balance x Ganni collab sneakers (which are true to size).
In the second look, I’m wearing my new favorite loose-fitting jeans by Dairy Boy (Paige Lorenze’s brand!). They should be live on the Dairy Boy site within the upcoming months. Finally, to add to the ultra-cozy, relaxed look, I finished off the entire look with Ugg Ultra Minis.
Similar to this Rowing Blazers label crewneck, the brand also dropped a super-cute one in forrest green that says, “Kindness.” You can shop both for $32. I’m wearing it in a size medium.

The second the weather drops below 60 degrees in New York City, you can find me wearing a sweater. I am typically drawn to sweaters with a neutral color palette but was immediately drawn to this cable knit option with colorful trim. The trim is in Rowing Blazer’s signature colors which I was excited about as a fan of the brand.
The style of this sweater is unisex and I would probably size down if I were to purchase it again for a slightly less oversized fit. I layered it over a white tank top which helped the color of the neckline pop. The material of the sweater is super soft and has zero itch to it (I’m always sensitive to this).
I paired the sweater with the green corduroy Rowing Blazers x Target hat and my baggy Tibi jeans.

If I was forced to choose only one item to buy from the Target x Rowing Blazers collection, it would be this fleece. It was love at first sight and once I tried it on, I knew we’d be together forever.
The material feels like someone combined a plush blanket with a well-loved fleece jacket. The jacket is lined for extra warmth and is spacious enough to layer over a sweater. For $50, I think the quality of the fleece is incredible.
One of my shopping tips is to always check out the men’s section—some of my favorite pieces have been sourced this way. This is technically a men’s jacket but anyone can wear it. I sized down for a better fit.

I have to shout out a few of the accessories and pieces from the home line, even though I can’t, unfortunately, style myself in blankets and candles (or can I?). Seriously, if you just want a small piece of the collection, I’d definitely suggest the cutest Jack of clubs card throw blanket I’ve ever seen, or a $10 scented candle. The tote bags and crossbody bags are also to-die for.
